"I am waiting for the Spring Market"

If you are thinking or have been thinking about selling your home, I know you have heard these word. However, depending on your situation this may not be the best advice.

While the "Spring Market" may result in more showings of your home, Winter Buyers tend to be more serious. Inventory levels are traditionally lower during the Winter months. The limited inventory translates to less competition for laser-focused home buyers.

Whatever your situation, don't fall into the trap of "December, January, February, and March are not good times to sell your home." As a home seller, you are statistically proven to sell your home closer to your asking price during this period. Moreover, most home buyers shopping for homes during the Winter have more urgency.  So while the Spring real estate market may generate "more traffic" through your home, the Winter is more likely to get you closer to your asking price in a shorter period.
